Charlie Sheen

Everybody remembers the great Charlie Sheen implosion of 2011. He was winning on tiger's blood, but lost his role on CBS's highly rated Two and a Half Men after making several disparaging comments regarding the show and its creator Chuck Lorre, calling him a "clown" and a "charlatan." Following his dismissal, Sheen sued, was replaced by Ashton Kutcher and got his own show on FX.

Paula Deen

Paula Deen's ship sank just like the Titanic after she admitted to making racist remarks, and using the N-word, during a deposition. Deen lost endorsement deals and her Food Network show, despite an emotional interview on NBC's Today.

Mel Gibson

It's no secret Mel Gibson's remarks have landed him in hot water before, but they cost him a miniseries about the Holocaust too. ABC was working on a miniseries about the Holocaust with Gibson, but his anti-Sematic DUI tirade in 2006 put a pin in the project, Deadline reported.

Isaiah Washington

Isaiah Washington made headlines during season three of Grey's Anatomy, when it came out that he used  a gay slur on set while talking about costar T.R. Knight, calling him a "f----t." After a series of apologies and jokes on the red carpet, Washington was released from his contract.

Alec Baldwin

The outspoken 30 Rock star followed up his successful run on the NBC comedy with an MSNBC talk show. But it didn't last long. Alec Baldwin is no stranger to clashing with the paparazzi, but a recent profanity-laced encounter cost him his new talk show.

Hank Williams Jr.

You don't compare Barack Obama to Adolf Hitler. Hank Williams learned that lesson when ESPN ditched his Monday Night Football song after he made those comments in 2011.

Big Brother Contestants

They weren't fired from the show, but several Big Brother contestants landed themselves in hot water with their day jobs over comments made during their time on the CBS reality show. Spencer Clawson was suspended by Union Pacific Railroad after joking about child porn, and  Aaryn Gries and GinaMarie Zimmerman lost their day jobs after making racist remarks on camera.

Martin Bashir

MSNBC's Martin Bashir wasn't technically fired for calling Sarah Palin a "world-class idiot," but it did lead to the news personality's resignation in November 2013.

Selma Blair

Was she fired or not? The story is a bit hazy, but reports surfaced that Selma Blair was unhappy with Anger Management star and executive producer Charlie Sheen. Shortly after the gossip took off, Blair was let go from the show. If you ask Sheen, she was written out because the show was not about the relationship between his character and Blair's. Blair has remained silent about the issue.

A.J. Clemente & Justin Kraemer

Even local newscasters aren't immune to putting their foot in their mouths. A.J. Clemente became a 15-minute sensation when he dropped the f-bomb on air several times—on his first day! He was sacked and made the rounds on various talk shows after video of his first day on the job went viral. Then there's Justin Kraemer who was fired from a Kanasa station after being heard on mic saying "Let's get the f--- out of here" during a live broadcast.

Phil Robertson?

Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson has been suspended indefinitely after lumping together homosexuality and bestiality in a GQ interview. "Everything is blurred on what's right and what's wrong," Robertson said. "Sin becomes fine. Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men," he told the magazine. Paraphrasing Corinthians, he said, "Don't be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers—they won't inherit the kingdom of God. Don't deceive yourself. It's not right."

The ultimate fate of Duck Dynasty is still undecided.
