The Mentalist: Canceled
Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) will solve his final case this year…at least on CBS. The final season is in full swing, but producers have said it's possible the show could move to a new network.
Mike & Molly: Renewed
The show was held for midseason this year and ratings have dipped, but Melissa McCarthy is one of the hottest names in Hollywood right now, leading CBS to pick up the show for a sixth season.
The Millers: Canceled
Oops! After picking up Will Arnett's sitcom for a second season, CBS had a change of heart, and canceled it early into its sophomore outing. "We are looking for shows that get traction and build, like Mom has done this season," network boss Nina Tassler explained. "It was a tough call."
The Mindy Project: Canceled
While critics (us included!) are huge fans of the show, the rom-com sitcom has never been a massive hit in the ratings. Unfortunately, it could not be saved at Fox, and the show has been sadly canceled, no doubt setting the apocalypse into motion.
However, all is not lost, as it sounds like there are talks going on with Hulu for a season 4, so you can bet we've got our fingers, toes, and even our eyes crossed in the hopes that this show doesn't have to die just yet. We need to meet Baby Lahiri-Castellano!
NCIS: Renewed
Hahahahaha. Sorry, we couldn't hear you over the sound of our own laughter at the mere suggestion that CBS would even think of canceling NCIS.
NCIS: Los Angeles: Renewed
The force is strong with all NCIS shows. NCIS: Los Angeles moved away from the mothership to CBS Monday nights and the numbers aren't as great as when it had the glow of NCIS, but viewers are still tuning in to the LL Cool J and Chris O'Donnell series.
NCIS: New Orleans: Renewed
The No. 1 most-watched new show of the year, it's no surprise that CBS renewed its latest successful NCIS spinoff for a second season.
New Girl: Renewed
After a creative stumble last season, Fox boss Dana Walden said the show is in "an excellent place this season" and that network is "really happy" with it creatively. Which is why it was picked up for a fifth season (and will hit its milestone 100th episode during it)!
"Four seasons in, New Girl continues to be one of the smartest and most relatable comedies on television," David Madden, Fox's president of entertainment, said. "The writing is razor-sharp, the ensemble is consistently hilarious, and we couldn't be more proud of...the entire New Girl team. We absolutely love this show and we're so excited to bring it back for season five."
The Originals: Renewed
Long live the Original family! The Vampire Diaries spinoff was renewed for a third season because no one wants to piss off Klaus, right? As they say on the CW hit: always and forever.
Outlander: Renewed
Starz finally found its first hit series in the epic time-travel romance drama, based on Diana Gabaldon's bestselling book series, Dragonfly in Amber.
"The overwhelming support Outlander has received from the fans, viewers and critics made the decision for us to go ahead with the second book a very easy one," Starz CEO Chris Albrecht said.
Parks and Recreation: Canceled
After seven seasons, NBC's beloved sitcom, starring Amy Poehler, is wrapping its run. Knope, we aren't ready to let go!
Person of Interest: Renewed
Another aging CBS show where ratings have dipped, but CBS still has faith in POI.
Red Band Society: Canceled
While Fox was sad to let the hopeful drama go, network boss Gary Newman said the ratings were too low to justify a renewal. "It just didn't reunite on air with our audience in the way we would have hoped."
Reign: Renewed
While it's not a ratings powerhouse, CW president Mark Pedowitz has long been a fan of the series, leading to its season three renewal.
Scandal: Renewed
LOL like there was any chance ABC was going to cancel Scandal.
Scorpion: Renewed
Starring rumored real-life couple Katharine McPhee and Elyes Gabel, the show is the No. 3 most-watched new show of the year, per CBS, who renewed it for a second season.
