It was there her love of theatre started when she saw her first opera at the age of two. She began doing plays in high school, and went on to be among the first people to receive a BFA from the theatre program at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor as well as a BA in English. After graduation she moved to New York City to pursue a career in the theatre.

Though he began acting in professional theater in his native Chicago in seventh grade, it wasn't till a breakout role on the guilty pleasure THE BEAUTIFUL LIFE, that Hollywood ultimately took notice.  Nico's razor-sharp sensibilities allowed him to transition into the acclaimed series MAKE IT OR BREAK IT.  That said, it appears as though he's well on his way to making it.  In addition to acting, Nico's passions include his dogs, vintage fashion, antiques, and his tattoo collection.
