Gigli

While we sort of love this 2003 movie because it's when J.Lo and Ben Affleck first met, it's consider one of the worst films ever made, and thus, Lopez's worst film to date. In it, she played a "lesbian assassin" who oversees Gigli's (Affleck)  kidnapping job.

The Boy Next Door

Just a year ago, the actress played a woman who falls for a much younger man and their affair gets dangerous—so dangerous this movie got horrible ratings.

Jersey Girl

Considering she—spoiler alert!—dies at the beginning of this film, it's simply not one of our faves.

This film went straight to DVD in 2006.

Parker

While this film was appreciated by actions fans for Jason Statham, the inclusion of J.Lo's character was highly criticized as misogynistic and insulting (which is not necessarily her fault).

Money Train

The 1995 flick was most a cliched movie about buddies and didn't showcase a whole lot of J.Lo's talents. Pass.

What to Expect When You're Expecting

The film follows the story of five different lives that are all connected, but while we like the all-star cast, it's mostly full of cliches.

The Cell

The bizarre 2000 film wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great. J.Lo's S&M-inspired character overwhelmed the plot, but it also helped her step out of her comfort zone of romantic comedies.

My Family

In 1995, J.Lo played the wife in a first generation of family members to move to the United States. The film portrays the trials and tribulations of being an immigrant in the U.S.

Anaconda

While this film might go down in history as one of the most memorable '90s flicks, it wasn't J.Lo's best performance.

U Turn

The superstar cast—including Sean Penn, Billy Bob Thornton, Jon Voight and more—boosts this film. In it, the actress plays a married woman who has an affair with a man named Bobby (played by Penn). Her husband then hires Bobby to kill her before she eventually takes matter into her own hands and hires Bobby to kill her husband. (Are you confused yet?)

Shall We Dance?

While many agreed this film didn't meet the standards of the original Japanese version, Lopez, Susan Sarandon and Richard Gere certainly created a refreshing and charming rom-com.

Enough

In this inspiring flick, J.Lo attempts to run away from her abusive husband to no avail. Thus, she empowers herself to battle him head-on.

The Back Up Plan

Yes, it's your ordinary romantic comedy about a woman finding the love of her life the same day she receives artificial insemination, but hey! It was a cute, no-brainer.

Maid in Manhattan

Another basic rom-com? Yes. Another one of our favorite J.Lo films to watch? Also, yes.

The Wedding Planner

OK, so this wasn't about to win J.Lo an Oscar or anything, but it totally represents her quintessential romantic comedy role.

Out of Sight

Not only is this one of J.Lo's highest rated films on Rotten Tomatoes, but it also represents one of her best roles to date. Her chemistry with George Clooney is undeniable as he plays a bank robber who falls in love with her—a U.S. marshal he's kidnapped during a robbery.

Selena

Confidant, glowing, perfect...These are just three of the words we'd use to describe Lopez played the pivotal role of Selena Quintanilla-Perez in this 1997 film. And thus, it's our No. 1 pick for the actress!
