SURPRISE: Miley Cyrus

The "Flowers" singer earned a Best Original Song nomination for "Beautiful That Way," her first nod since 2009 for "I Thought I Lost You" in the same category.

Miley's nomination comes months after she won her first two Grammys nearly 20 years after beginning her music career. Following the win, she questioned the decadeslong wait, asking W Magazine in June, "No shade, but I've been doing this for 20 years, and this is my first time actually being taken seriously at the Grammys?"

Challengers earned some major nominations, including Best Motion Picture—Musical or Comedy and Zendaya picked up Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture—Musical or Comedy. But Mike and Josh, who made up the rest of the acclaimed film’s love triangle, were left empty-handed.
