Can they complete the hat trick in 2012? The Modern Family gang has taken home the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series in 2010 and 2011, besting favorites like Glee, The Office and 30 Rock.

Supporting Actress: Sofia Vergara

Though she hasn't yet snatched an Emmy, Vergara—who plays Gloria in all her fiery, Columbian glory—got her third Modern Family nomination this year. At least she's guaranteed to make Best Dressed!

Supporting Actor: Ty Burrell

No dad has been as cool—or as hilarious—as Phil Dunphy. Which is probably why the LOL-worthy papa scored an Emmy win in 2011 (after a nomination in 2010) and is in contention again for 2012.

Directing, Comedy Series

Directors Jason Winer and Steven Levitan scored separate 2012 nominations for Modern Family's third season, while Michael Spiller won the Emmy in 2011 and Gail Mancuso was nominated the same year.

Supporting Actress: Julie Bowen

It's hard to compete for screen time with Ty Burrell, but Bowen—who plays the uptight but lovable Claire Dunphy—was nominated in 2010 and won in 2011. Her turn in season 3 earned her another nom.

Picture Editing, Comedy

Modern Family will go head to head with Curb Your Enthusiasm and 30 Rock this year, but editor Ryan Case won an Emmy in 2010 (nominated again in 2011) and Jonathan Schwartz has been nominated twice.

Supporting Actor: Eric Stonestreet

The first winner from the Modern Family bunch, Stonestreet took home a Best Supporting Actor Emmy in 2010 for his clown-tastic Cameron. He was nominated again in 2011 and, of course, for 2012.

Sound Mixing, Half-Hour Series

Stephen Tibbo, Brian Harman and Dean Okrand—Modern Family's sound team—won in 2010 for their work and were nominated again the next year. They put their sound skills to the test with a 2012 nom.

Guest Actor, Comedy: Greg Kinnear

Following Fred Willard (nominated in 2010 for his turn as Phil's father, Frank Dunphy) and Nathan Lane (who scored a nomination in 2011 as the flamboyant Pepper), Kinner earned an Emmy nod as Phil's kiss-happy associate.

Supporting Actor: Ed O'Neill

Playing Jay Pritchett, the brash, sometimes clueless clan patriarch, O'Neill clinched his first nom in 2011 and he's back to compete again, with a Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy nod for season 3.

Writing, Comedy Series

Modern Family was not nominated for writing in 2012 (ousted by Parks and Recreation and newbie Girls), but Steven Levitan and Christopher Lloyd won in 2010. In 2011, Levitan and Jeffrey Richmanin took home the prize.

Supporting Actor: Jesse Tyler Ferguson

Could the third time be the charm? Jesse Tyler, who plays the high strung Mitchell Pritchett, earned nominations in 2010 and 2011 and will go head to head with his male costars again this year for Supporting Actor.

Art Direction for Single-Camera Series

Art direction went to the dramas this year (like Downton Abbey and Mad Men) and M.F. did not score a nomination, but Richard Berg and Amber Haley were previously nominated in both 2010 and 2011.

Casting for a Comedy Series

As nearly every member of the cast has been individually nominated, it should come as no surprise that casting director Jeff Greenberg snagged an Emmy in 2010 and was nominated the next two years as well.
