Nikki's modeling career began when she was just a child in Charleston, South Carolina. Her mother entered her into a local fashion show, which sparked something in Nikki. Drawn to the industry, she started working with local agencies by the age of 16. Despite facing numerous challenges early on, she persisted and carved out a successful career for herself, eventually signing with Elite Model Management Miami.

However, her deep passion for modeling is matched by her yearning to help and inspire others. This is what ultimately led her to pursue a doctoral degree in clinical psychology. Nikki noticed a serious lack of resources for people with mental health issues in the fashion and entertainment industries, spurring her determination to make a change.

Among many notable achievements, Nikki's work with Darkness to Light, a Charleston-based organization that focuses on preventing child sexual abuse, stands out. This is marked by Nikki's courage to share her personal story of overcoming childhood abuse. She has also filmed educational videos for Darkness to Light's Stewards of Children series, which has helped train more than two million adults to carry out their mission to date.

In addition to her advocacy work, Nikki has established herself as a successful author, having published books that discuss overcoming her past mental health issues with her body image and food. Through her books, Nikki crafts her words in a way that uplifts and encourages others, showing them that they can overcome any obstacle life throws their way.

Most recently, Nikki's achievements include gracing the cover of Retreat magazine for the second time, a cover shoot that took place in breathtaking Bora Bora. It was here while working and enjoying the luxury travel, that Nikki faced a daunting fear of swimming with black-tip reef sharks. This experience taught her the invaluable significance and transformation that can come from facing fears head-on and not letting them hold you back.

Looking to the future, Nikki plans to continue finishing her PsyD degree, looking to possibly publish another book in the future, and to continue modeling and traveling the world. She aspires to connect with more brands, traveling and sharing her values to empower others through art and design. With the courage and resilience to overcome past traumas and professional hurdles, it's clear why her journey serves to empower so many. Through her modeling, advocacy, and writing, Nikki is making a positive impact on the world and inspiring others to do the same, standing as a true role model for anyone facing challenges in life.
