Brittany Mahomes is laughing from the bleachers.
After her husband and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was featured in a team video lamenting over a wardrobe malfunction at training camp in St. Joseph, Missouri, the Sports Illustrated model—who is currently pregnant with the couples’ third child—reacted to the moment on social media.
Resharing the Chiefs' reel, Brittany, 28, added in an Aug. 7 Instagram Story alongside a laughing emoji, “Sorry I’m not there to dress you.”
Luckily for Patrick—who also shares kids Sterling, 3, and Bronze, 22 months with Brittany—his outfit mistake wasn’t too noticeable, as it was only his pad pants, or the padded compression shorts players wear under their uniform.
“Oh dude,” Patrick says to teammate Creed Humphrey in the video. “I didn’t put my pants on. You think anyone notices?”
Creed, as well as other Chiefs teammates and coaches, remain silent as Patrick adds, “Maybe they’ll think my quads are so big that they look like pants.”
So, ultimately, the 28-year-old decides to go change, and walks back to the locker room after offering Creed a “See you later.”
And while Patrick is having trouble dressing himself during the Chiefs training camp—which is running until Aug. 15—Brittany has also been open about her own tribulations while her husband is focusing on football.
In fact, she even asked followers for advice regarding a “bad habit” her son Bronze picked up while the family was vacationing leading up to Patrick’s training camp—which included a trip to see Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour alongside Travis Kelce.
“We started a bad habit with Bronze while on vacation, we started letting him watch TV while eating literally just to keep him chill and not throw fits in public,” she wrote in an Instagram Story July 28. “We have been trying to break this now that we are home.”
After her followers flooded her with insight and support, the Kansas City Current co-owner shared a note of gratitude.
“A ton of you were like it’s just a phase, let it happen for your own peace, for your own sanity, do what’s best for you,” she explained. “ I really appreciate that and it made me feel a lot better and less guilty.”
