Kim Kardashian is looking so sweet with her new hairstyle.
After all, the Kardashians star traded in her signature black locks for a delicious candy apple red 'do just in time for the fall. Kim shared a video of herself on her Instagram Stories Aug. 28, donning a black chiffon top and smoothing down her long, red hair. However, the transformation doesn't appear to be permanent, and more likely a wig, since she was back to her black hair while posing for a mirror selfie in the next post.
The 43-year-old isn't a stranger to major hair transformations, with or without a wig. In April, she debuted her pastel pink bob just days after unveiling her icy platinum bob hairstyle.
And for Kim—who shares kids North West, 11, Saint West, 8, Chicago West, 6, and Psalm West, 5, with ex-husband Kanye West—her hair accompanies her vibe and energy.
"I have different energy when I'm blonde," she told Allure in 2022. "I'm a totally different person."
"I'm sassier. I'm more confident as a blonde," she continued. "As soon as I go back to brunette, I'm a boss."
The SKIMS founder is always down to try brand-new looks, too. In fact, she previously revealed that the neon green wig that dazzled fans in Miami in 2018 was a last-minute decision with Kanye—who she was married to from 2014 to 2021—and hairstylist Chris Appleton.
"I remember we had regular hair," she said to Chris while interviewing him for Gay Times in 2019. "Then we FaceTimed Kanye and he was like, 'You're in Miami, do neon hair. I'm getting you a neon car, it'll be downstairs – just trust me on this one! You need neon.' We were like, 'What, we are running out the door?!'"
"We had full black hair and we changed that last minute," she recalled. "That was so fun, but crazy!"
Oftentimes, Chris is by her side when she tries out different colors and styles. For instance, they both decided a cherry red would be the perfect color for her 2019 KKW Beauty promo shoot.
"I always love collaborating on a different looks with Kim," he told E! News in 2020. "I love that she really is open to taking risks and trying something new and coming out of quarantine and being able to do something this bold is fun. We did the blonde pink blue and the brown—red is an unexpected color for Kim."
