Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom can be hot and cold when it comes to their disagreements.
The “Woman’s World” singer—who got engaged to the actor in 2019—recently shared what really happens when she and the Pirates of the Caribbean star have a little quarrel at home.
“Orlando and I, when we argue, we argue kinda hot and fast and then cool really quickly,” Katy told Zane Lowe during an interview with Apple Music on Sept. 19. “It’s like, ‘la la la I love you. Let’s move on.’”
As for what Katy, 39, and Orlando, 47, who have been together since 2016, have disagreements over?
“He’s a real sage. We both have parts of ourselves, our highest good and our ego,” she said. “When the ego is running the show then it’s like, ‘whoa.’ But when that’s in check we’re both something else.”
According to Katy, despite their little spats, Orlando is the perfect person to go through the ups and downs of life with.
“I get to see who he is in those challenging moments,” she explained. “And that’s why I chose him.”
And just like her parents, Katy and Orlando’s daughter, Daisy Dove, 4, has a little roar to her.
“She’s an Alpha, she’s not shy,” Katy said about her tot. “I think she’s a product of both parents being very bold and go get them.”
She continued, “We are a loud family, we call ourselves the chaos crew. We are fire. She sees all of that, she loves watching mom perform loves watching mom do what she does. She was born on a certain day and looking at all her charts…she’s a king.”
Daisy and Orlando were on hand to celebrate Katy—whom he knows as Kathryn Hudson—earlier this month as she received the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.
"I know her as a mother, as a partner who brings that same sense of love and joy to our family," the Carnival Row star said. "She loves with her whole heart and it’s kind of irresistible. Congratulations on this honor baby, I’m so proud of you."
