Jim Bellino is breaking his silence on Alexis Bellino's whirlwind romance.
Over a month after his ex-wife got engaged to John Janssen after nine months of dating, The Real Housewives of Orange County alum revealed concerns about Alexis' future husband.
"I watched the Watch What Happens Live when Andy [Cohen] asked Alexis about whether she would sign a prenup," Jim said on the Oct. 15 episode of The Sarah Fraser Show podcast, "and I think that was the wrong question. I think Andy should’ve asked if John would sign the prenup."
Calling the SoCal businessman "very secretive," Jim questioned, "What does John do?"
"In all honesty, if it was very vague what I did, I would want to share that," Jim—who shares son James, 18, and 16-year-old twins Mackenna and Miles with Alexis following their 2018 divorce—continued. "Because there shouldn't be a question what anybody's motivation is. I hope that he's successful. I worry about Alexis and I hope that she protects her assets. I hope she makes him sign a prenup. I really do."
But despite breaking up after 14 years of marriage, Jim had nothing but kind words when it came to co-parenting with the Bravo star.
"She's an amazing mother and I have nothing but good things to say about her as being the mother of my children," he gushed. "Very, very blessed to have her as the mother of my children. She did a great job."
However, Jim questioned Alexis' decision to return to RHOC for season 18 after exiting the reality series in 2013.
“I haven't talked to her about it, but I think if you come back, you have to come back as a full cast member and get paid substantially," he noted. "Having nothing to do with me paying alimony. It's really in your best interest, to not be a friend. It doesn't make sense financially. And if you're going to go in, go all in."
And he's not buying the 47-year-old's friendship with costar Tamra Judge.
“Do I think they are truly friends? No," he stated. "I think that is a relationship out of convenience for the show.”
