Demi Lovato is sending love to sister Madison De La Garza during a difficult time.

After the Desperate Housewives alum shared that her baby girl Xiomara didn't survive an emergency cesarean section surgery, Demi reflected on the moments she had with her niece.

"RIP to my beautiful, perfect niece Xiomara," Demi wrote on her Instagram Stories. "I'm so grateful I got to hold you. I'll forever be your auntie. I love you so much @maddelagarza."

Madison, 22, announced the heartbreaking news nearly two months after she debuted her baby bump alongside boyfriend Ryan Mitchell on social media.

"On the evening of September 27th, after an emergency C-section, Ryan and I held our little girl for the first time and last time," she wrote Oct. 26. "Thank you, Xiomara, for making us parents to the most perfect angel in heaven. Mommy and Daddy love you sweet girl."

She received an outpouring of love under the post, including from Demi again. "I love you so much Xiomara," she added. An angel in every sense of the word. I'll be your auntie forever."

Meanwhile, Demi's fiancé Jordan "Jutes" Lutes also commented on the post. "I love you so much," the 33-year-old wrote. "Rest easy baby angel Xiomara."

Madison and Demi's mom Dianna De La Garza reflected on her time with their baby after the surgery.

"They say when you meet your Grandchild for the first time, you feel a love that you can't explain in words," she wrote. "I felt that love and I will feel it til the day I die. I love you my sweet granddaughter Xiomara. Thank you for making me a REAL 'Grandma D.'"

When Madison shared with the world in early September that she was expecting with a snap of her baby bump, her family was thrilled. Dianna gushed, "Woohoooo I'm gonna be a REAL GRANDMA D NOW!" And Jutes added, "Love u! So happy for u."

While the Camp Rock alum wrote, "I love you and this baby so much already!!"

Demi and the rest of the family couldn't have been more thrilled with the new addition to their home.

"I'm really excited to have new life come into our family," she told E! News last month. "Family is very valued to me. I value family and friends over success any day."
