Cardi B is on the mend.
Nearly two weeks after being hospitalized for a medical emergency, the “I Like It” singer stepped back into the spotlight with an outing at a Halloween party in New York City on Oct. 31.
Dressed as Jessica Rabbit from the 1988 film Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Cardi turned heads in a busty red gown, elbow-length purple gloves and shimmering diamond earrings by LabLove. To take the steamy look home, the Grammy winner wore a bold red lip, purple eyeshadow and voluminous ginger hair.
Her appearance came after the “WAP” rapper announced that she needed to cancel her performance at ONE MusicFest in Atlanta due to a health complication that left her hospitalized.
"I am so sad to share this news," Cardi wrote in a message shared to her Instagram Oct. 23, "but l've been in the hospital recovering from a medical emergency the last couple of days and I wont be able to perform at ONE MusicFest."
And while the 32-year-old—who is mom to kids Kulture, 6, Wave, 3 and a 1-month-old whose name has yet to be shared with estranged husband Offset—didn't share any details on her ailment, she did note, "It breaks my heart that I won't get to see my fans this weekend and I really wish I could be there."
Cardi added, "Thank you for understanding and I'll be back better and stronger soon. Don't worry. Love yall."
Amid her hospitalization, ONE MusicFest had Cardi’s back. Resharing Cardi’s post to their own Instagram Page, the festival sent her well wishes adding, “Let’s all keep her in our prayers for a full recovery!”
Despite her health struggles, Cardi has had a busy few months with her family life. A little more than a month before welcoming her third child with the Migos rapper in September, Cardi filed for divorce after seven years of marriage.
Though the split has been publicly drama-filled, she has expressed that her future as a mom of three is only up from here.
“With every ending comes a new beginning!” Cardi wrote in the Instagram post on Aug. 1. “I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power! Reminded me that I can have it all!"
