Aly Michalka believes in the magic of motherhood.
The Aly & AJ musician welcomed son Jack Francis with husband Stephen Ringer in April, and she is loving everything this latest chapter has brought into her life.
"It's really special," Aly exclusively told E! News in a joint interview with sister AJ Michalka at Heidi Klum's 23rd Annual Halloween Party presented by Butterfinger, Mattel, and Prime Video at Hard Rock Hotel New York on Oct. 31. "It's really magical. We're loving it."
And the 35-year-old is especially grateful for how her 4-month-old son helped her focus "on the things that are actually important."
"We can really busy ourselves with things that we just don't need to do in our day," Aly explained, "and motherhood just makes you zone on the things that really actually matter and are actually really important."
She continued, "I think that's been good for my mental health."
And Jack even got in on the Halloween fun, with Aly sharing they dressed him up as a jester clown to match her and AJ's"1920 silent film clown" costumes before they made their way to the Project Runway alum's big bash.
"We got some pics at the hotel," Aly, who tied the knot with Stephen in 2015, added, "and then we left him with dad."
And while he was a tad too young to enjoy trick or treating this year, AJ is already looking forward to future Halloween's with her nephew.
"When he's one for sure," the 33-year-old chimed in. "Auntie will take him around, too."
Despite no trick or treating, Aly and AJ were still thrilled to have a Halloween night out, telling E! the main thing they wanted from their costumes was to just have fun with it.
As Aly noted, "We got all glammed up."
After all, it was a special occasion for the sisters.
"We never do this," she explained. "We never go to Halloween parties. And we're like, ‘We're doing it this year. This is the year.'"
