Every once in a while, Tom Holland will search for his girlfriend Zendaya on the web.
And the actor shared a personal reason for why he looks up what's being posted about the fellow Spider-Man alum.
"The last thing I Googled was actually 'Zendaya,'" Tom said on the Oct. 31 episode of the On the Menu podcast. "It's more of a bit of an anxiety thing, but I'll check to see that everything's good and just make sure we're all cool. So I just give her a little Google, look to the news, I'm like, 'She's good. Fine.'"
The 28-year-old has showcased his offscreen role as protective boyfriend before. Last week, Tom came to Zendaya's rescue after she found herself swarmed by fans and paparazzi as he and the Dune actress, also 28, exited a car together in New York City.
An online video showed the two holding hands before they got split up and Zendaya found herself getting circled by photographers snapping pictures and fans asking for autographs. Her boyfriend then quickly jumped in to save her from the crowd, saying, "No, no, no" before protectively taking her hand.
The two met on the set of the 2017 movie Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017, the year they also famously competed against each other on an episode of Lip Sync Battle that remains a favorite video among fans of the couple to this day.
But it was only in 2021 when the pair first sparked romance rumors. Over the years, they have become inseparable and have often expressed support for each other and their careers.
"I'm lucky that I have someone like Zendaya in my life," Tom told Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett on the July 3 episode of their Smartless podcast. "It's interesting being in a romantic relationship with someone that is in the same boat as you."
The Avengers star added, "You can share your experiences and all that sort of stuff—and that's worth its weight in gold."
