Shaboozey is raising a glass to Beyoncé’s support.
Amid the country star’s breakout year, which included his song “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” topping charts and collaborating with Queen Bey on her album Cowboy Carter, he’s had the “Texas Hold ‘Em” artist cheering him on.
"She's awesome,” the 29-year-old rapper told E! News at the 2024 CMA Awards Nov. 21. “She's always sending us messages and talking to the team and just saying that she's proud. So you know, she's awesome.”
Together, Shaboozey and Bey collaborated on her Cowboy Carter tracks "SPAGHETTII," which earned them and Linda Carter a Best Melodic Rap Performance nomination at the 2025 Grammys, and "SWEET HONEY BUCKIIN." As if working alongside the “Cuff It” singer wasn’t enough, his career has continued to be quite the ride.
“Feels like a dream come true,” the “Vegas” rapper said about his 2024 CMAs nominations for New Artist of the Year and Single of the Year.
“I've worked, really hard just to get here, and made a lot of sacrifices, and dreamed some pretty crazy dreams that my younger self was like, ‘Are you sure about that?’ So, to just see it all coming to fruition, I think my younger self would be really, really, really, really, really proud of what I've been able to what we've been able to accomplish.”
It’s all thanks to his breakout hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” which has secured the spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for 17 consecutive weeks. And the reception of the song—an interpolation of J-Kwon’s 2004 hit “Tipsy”—is something the Northern Virgina native never would have expected.
“You just go into the studio, and you make things, and some things feel special, and some things feel a little different than others that that one definitely felt special,” he explained to E!. said about the single. “It’s felt like something that I hadn't done before. And I think usually, as an artist, when you have those moments, that's when something is probably going to happen. When you do something like that. That’s crazy.”
And he’s not showing any signs of slowing down. Shaboozey—who scored five Grammy nominations—has a big 2025 on the horizon.
“I just got announced on Coachella, also doing Stagecoach,” he teased. “I might, maybe be one of the first artists ever to do that. So, I'm really excited about that. It's going to be a fun year next year.”
