Jenna Ushkowitz is showing fans what they missed.
The Glee star announced the arrival of her son Graham on Nov. 24 with a sweet black and white image.
“And then there were 4,” the 38-year-old captioned the Instagram photo. “Welcome to the tribe, Graham, we love you so much.”
In the shot, Ushkowitz, who also shares daughter Emma, 2, with husband David Stanley, showed off two necklaces hanging on her neck—a Karina Noel thick chain for Emma, and an EF Collection scripted name necklace for Graham. But the most notable accessory was little Graham’s hand, reaching up on Ushkowitz’s chest.
Shortly after Ushkowitz announced her family’s latest arrival, her Glee costars danced into the comments to wish her family well.
Kevin McHale, who also cohosts the And That’s What You REALLY Missed podcast with Ushkowitz, wrote, “LOVE YOU ALLLLL.” Former costar Amber Riley also added, “Congratulations!!!”
Ushkowitz first announced she was expecting in June, holding up a positive pregnancy test while cradling her baby bump in an image.
“Baby #2 on the way,” she wrote at the time. “We are pregnant and so excited and grateful. It has been a journey, (I will share more soon) but in the meantime, enjoying this exciting time.”
The actress later shared some insight into the highs and lows of her pregnancy journey this time around, revealing she had several health complications.
“This was very different from my pregnancy with Emma, which was, gratefully, very straightforward,” she wrote in an Aug. 7 Instagram post. “This time, I found out I was pregnant and not a week later, began bleeding. It was too early to tell if there was a baby, but there were some factors that led us to believe the pregnancy would not be viable.”
However, despite the couple’s concerns, they soon learned that they were in fact still expecting a baby. Ushkowitz shared that she bled multiple times throughout the pregnancy, leading her to believe she’d lost the baby each time.
“We are SO lucky and grateful for this as many people don’t get good news after scares like this,” she wrote, “but the mental toll it took on me each time I bled, thinking I was miscarrying, was still scary, sad, and difficult on my emotional and mental health.”
Ushkowitz was later diagnosed with subchorionic hematoma and put on bed rest for two months.
“I’d gladly do anything the Doctor ordered to keep this baby healthy and safe,” she continued. “We consider ourselves so lucky but it was a rollercoaster.”
