Once upon a time in Hollywood…
Leonardo DiCaprio was not engaged. Amid reports that the Academy Award winner had gotten down on one knee to propose to girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti, E! News can confirm that the rumors are just that—rumors—and that the pair are not engaged.
The rumors come shortly after Leo celebrated a milestone birthday, 50, which he marked with a seriously star-studded guest list, including everyone from Paris Hilton to Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, Steven Spielberg and Leo’s good friend Brad Pitt, who was accompanied by his girlfriend Ines de Ramona.
And in an extra special moment, Leo was serenaded by Stevie Wonder, who played the piano and sang “Happy Birthday” as Vittoria stood near The Revenant actor’s side.
Since they first sparked romance rumors in August 2023—when they were spotted on a yacht together in Spain—Leo and Vittoria, 26, have maintained a relatively low profile, enjoying the occasional public date night together.
Most recently, Leo—who was previously linked to Gigi Hadid and dated actress Camila Morrone for four years—and the Italian model enjoyed a stroll through New York City on Oct. 23. Walking hand in hand, the couple kept things casual with Leo in a beige ensemble, baseball hat and face mask while Vittoria donned black pants, a white tank top and matching black zip-up sweatshirt. She kept a low profile in sunglasses and a ponytail.
For her part, when she’s not spending time with her boyfriend, Vittoria enjoys a career as a model and recently walked in the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

Ahead of her moment on the runway, she told Page Six, “I have moments where I’m excited, moments where I’m nervous, moments where I’m scared. But I know that overall, we’re going to have so much fun.”
Leo, meanwhile, is always sure to support his friends and loved ones in their endeavors. In fact, the Titanic alum was sure to be by the side of his former costar Kate Winslet during a Nov. 19 screening of her upcoming film Lee. The pair—who starred as Rose DeWitt and Jack Dawson in the iconic 1997 film—smiled widely as they hugged and posed for pictures.
In the years since Leo and Kate made audiences cry in the Titanic, their bond has only grown, making the rare instances in which their busy schedules align enough for a reunion an emotional moment.
Take, for instance, their 2021 reunion following the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown.
As Kate told The Guardian, “I couldn't stop crying. I've known him for half my life!"
"It's not as if I've found myself in New York or he's been in London and there's been a chance to have dinner or grab a coffee and a catchup,” she explained. “We haven't been able to leave our countries. Like so many friendships globally, we've missed each other because of COVID."
