Like father, like son.
Chris Hemsworth—who shares daughter India Rose, 12, and 10-year-old twin sons Sasha and Tristan with wife Elsa Pataky—took Tristan to train at his old boxing gym Justin Fortune's Fortune Gym in Los Angeles, and they had a special visitor in Barry Keoghan.
"I spent many hours at @fortunegymboxing years back when I first moved to Hollywood auditioning and chasing work," he captioned his Nov. 26 Instagram carousel post. "To be back here with Justin now keeping my son sharp has been epic to watch."
The slideshow of photos and videos showed the Thor actor proudly watching as his son boxed with Justin, with the 10-year-old hopping around the boxing ring. Tristan posed with his 41-year-old dad in matching Fortune Gym hoodies, and the duo also snapped pics with Barry while all wearing boxing gloves.
In another video, Justin encouraged the 10-year-old as he swung at Barry, with the Saltburn actor blocking his face with his hands.
The father-son outing to Chris’ old stomping grounds comes two months after Tristan and Sasha joined Chris and Elsa at the Australian premiere of Chris’ latest film, Transformers One, in September.
In fact, it's thanks to his kids that the Extraction actor even took on the project.
"I asked my kids when the script got sent to me," he told E! News in an exclusive interview that same month of his decision to take on the role of Optimus Prime. "I was a little bit hesitant, a bit nervous to fill the shoes of Peter Cullen [who previously played the character]. And they said, ‘Transformers, you have to do it.'"
Their interest in the movie hammered home the cross-generational appeal of the Transformers franchise overall.
"I wasn't even aware that they had watched Transformers much," he explained. "But you sort of forget it’s everywhere for every generation. It's had an effect. And stood the test of time for many, many reasons."
When they eventually saw their dad's contribution to the Transformers franchise, they gave the film "five out of five" stars.
"They love the film," Chris gushed. "It's just visually stunning. It's got a great sense of humor, but there's heart at the center and relatable themes for all generations, all ages."
