Jennifer Lopez is feeling thankful amid her new chapter.
Months after filing for divorce from husband Ben Affleck, the "On the Floor" singer gave a heartfelt shoutout to her fans with a Thanksgiving message.
"I hope everybody had a beautiful and Happy Thanksgiving," she wrote on Instagram Nov. 29, "alongside a photo of herself with a platter of cooked turkey. "I am so incredibly grateful for all of you."
And this year, Jennifer—who is mom to 16-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex Marc Anthony—was opting for a more low key affair as she navigated her divorce and her canceled tour.
“It was a pretty intense year for me, and I'm most looking forward to spending time with my kids and my family coming out from the East Coast,” she told People earlier this month. “The holidays are such a special time for us, and they've always been since I was a little girl. And I really look forward to those moments when I can be with my sisters and just relax and have fun and create new memories.”
After all, with such a busy schedule, she values being able to “slow down.”
"We don't get to see each other all year, so we kind of catch up on what everybody's doing and how life is,” the 55-year-old noted. “It's just a beautiful time. I really enjoy it.”
While Jennifer, who split from Ben after two years of marriage on August, previously shared insight into what it was like when her “whole world f--king exploded,” she and the Oscar winner have proven there is no bad blood.
In fact, Ben, 51, recently wasn’t afraid to get loud when it came to praising his ex for her performance in Unstoppable, which he co-produced. While gushing about the cast, he told Entertainment Tonight, "Jennifer's spectacular,” adding, "We believed in the right people, and Unstoppable is another example of that.”
As for how he spent his first Thanksgiving since the breakup? Well, Ben reunited with his first wife Jennifer Garner—with whom he shares Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12—to give out Thanksgiving meals to those in need on Skid Row with The Midnight Mission.
“Today, we were honored to have Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner join us at The Midnight Mission for Thanksgiving,” the organization wrote on Instagram. “Their kindness, warmth, and dedication brought so much joy to our Skid Row community.”
