Watch out America, London’s in the house.
Fans of The Voice are in store for an extra special guest performance from R&B and Soul singer October London during the show’s Dec 3. episode.
The Billboard chart-topping artist is set to perform his hit song “3rd Shift” off his new album October Nights. According to the Grammy-nominated musician, the song pays homage to a lover who has stood by her partner’s side through all of life’s ups and downs.
And while discussing his latest release, October revealed his competitive nature is what made him want to make an album even better than his last.
“The rebirth of Marvin, you know, I kept hearing like, ‘I wonder if his second album is going to be as good as the first,’” he told Fox 5 New York in October. “So I wanted to really go in and make sure that I was touching more fans, more lives; just going all across the board as far as talking about love, as far as pain, and just everyday life.”
October Nights is the Indiana native’s sophomore album, which he released as the first artist signed to Voice coach Snoop Dogg’s very own Death Row Records. When asked about working with the music mogul, the “Touch On Me” singer said the experience has been nothing short of “amazing.”
“I met Snoop in 2016 and ever since that moment me and him hit it off,” he told Fox 5. “Just having him in my corner and being on this label has been absolutely incredible.”
After tonight, October will join one of the many celebrity guests who’ve made appearances on this season of the hit competition series.
Just last week, as the series entered its playoffs, coaches Snoop Dogg and Reba McEntire enlisted the help of A-listers—like country music superstar Lainey Wilson and 11-time Olympic medalist Simone Biles—to serve as celebrity advisors for their teams.
And as for why Snoop opted to have Simone help out his team? As he told Entertainment Tonight, “I wanted to bring somebody on that was out of the box. It’s four letters that matter, G-O-A-T, D-O-G-G.”
The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
