Joey Lawrence revealed the romance between him and Samantha Cope may be blossoming again.
More than three months after the Blossom alum’s wife filed for divorce to end their two-year marriage, the pair—who share 23-month-old daughter Dylan Rose Lawrence—seem to have hard-launched a reconciliation.
“I am beyond grateful, I am beyond blessed,” the Melissa and Joey star wrote in the caption of his Dec. 4 Instagram post featuring a pic of the two getting close at an event for their new movie Marry Christmas. “I am galaxies beyond thankful. My heart is so full.“
And if this wasn’t proof enough these two are rekindling their romance, the 48-year-old wrote, “my forever after” over the second photo in the post—a selfie of the two sharing a kiss. Samantha responded with a simple, “love you,” in the comments.
The couple’s reunion comes after the Insecure actress filed for divorce from Joey in August, citing “irreconcilable differences” and requesting full custody of their child.
"Samantha will have 100% physical custody of Dylan with visitation to Joe at Samantha's discretion," her proposed parenting plan read. "Once Dylan is 3 or older, Joe will have the option to take her for 2 nights in her home location if he is not working and can facilitate her visiting."
And a few days later, she accused him of cheating on her with his Socked in for Christmas co-star Melina Alves, according to additional court documents.
In fact, Melina took to social media a few days later to express her disappointment in the recent allegations and set the record straight, claiming that the two shared nothing more than a genuine friendship on set.
“I want to clarify that there was no sexual relationship between Joey and myself while we were on set filming Socked in for Christmas,” she wrote in her August Instagram post. “When I met Joey, I was immediately struck by his kindness, warmth, and genuine character.
“We found common ground in our shared experiences,” she continued, “which led to a strong, supportive friendship that has been a source of strength for both of us.”
As for how the 37-year-old felt about it all? Samantha shared an emotional montage on social media, providing a look into moments she spent with their daughter and even clips of her crying.
“An amazing friend of mine,” she wrote in the caption, “recently told me ‘don’t be afraid of the tears. Let them flow. Because every tear is God gently squeezing the pain and devastation from your heart to make room for new beautiful feelings to come in.’”
