Macaulay Culkin is living the sweet life with Brenda Song.
And the Home Alone star knows exactly what has made his romance with the Suite Life of Zack & Cody alum work after seven years together.
"Brenda and I are very good at communicating with each other," Macaulay told E! News in an exclusive interview. "We have no secrets. We're constantly on the line—we talk, we talk."
Most importantly, the couple—who are parents to sons Dakota Song Culkin, 3, and a 2-year-old boy whose name hasn't been shared—know how to read each other's emotional cues, which is especially helpful with two little boys.
"I call it tagging in and out," Macaulay explained. "You know, 'You tag in.' Like wrestling. 'Hey, I've been at us for about three hours. I need to tag out. I need quiet time.' We call it quiet time. 'I need to go upstairs and have quiet time.'"
The 44-year-old noted that he can tell when Brenda, 36, has "hit her wall" and that she can do the same with him. And all of that comes down to making sure they're in constant communication with one another.
"We just talk," he continued, "that's the best way to do it. We're in the thick of it, 2-year-old and 3-year-old."
And the Saved actor couldn't help but gush over his lady love.
"God bless, Brenda is a champion," he shared. "And she is the best mom. She's the best boy mom. She's just the best mom. She's the best person. I wake up every day knowing I'm lucky. Not feeling I feel lucky, but I know I'm lucky."
Macaulay was especially thankful that Brenda handles the family duties while he's busy with work, like his new partnership with Uber Eats for their on demand Uber Carolers in select cities Dec. 7—which comes complete with a new ad that pokes fun at his iconic role in Home Alone.
"We didn't want to do something that was too on the nose when it came to referencing Home Alone," he noted. "It was kind of just like a little wink and nods. I just thought it was kind of nice and simple and fun."
He joked, "They paid me in carolers. Yes, I think I have it in my contract that they have to send carolers to my house."
