Hannah Hiatt is setting the record straight on serious accusations against her family.
The TikToker—whose video showing the 17 dirty diapers she had strewn around her house went viral in October—responded to allegations of mistreatment against her toddler son James.
In a since-deleted video, James sat in the child seat of a grocery cart during a family outing. As Hiatt's husband walked toward the boy, he threw his hands up over his face.
The clip sparked concerns from some TikTok users, while others alleged that James was "terrified” of Hiatt and her husband. One commenter even called her the "2.0" version of controversial parenting YouTuber Ruby Franke, who is currently serving prison time on child abuse charges, prompting Hiatt to clap back to the accusations.
"To be compared, right now, to Ruby Franke is absolutely comical," Hiatt said in a Nov. 30 TikTok. "It's hilarious, really. We live in a world nowadays where people will turn nothing into something."
Accusing her critics of being "so desperate to become TikTok famous," the mom influencer went on to assure that her family—which includes a 2-month-old baby—is very "happy."
"They're healthy, well-nourished," she said of her kids. "They're running around playing. That should be a pretty good indicator that everything's just fine."
Hiatt added, "They always have a clean bum and never have a dirty diaper on."
In a separate video posted Nov. 29, Hiatt shut down allegations against her husband, saying that he and their toddler have the "strongest father-son bond."
"My husband is the sweetest, nicest, kindest, most-loving, most-nurturing father in the entire world," she said. "He's on the ground playing with James like 90 percent of the day."
Hiatt also noted that James' reaction in the viral video was likely a response to the father-son's style of play. As she put it, "They're always playing where they scare each other."
