Leanna Lenee has had enough of the drama.

The fiancée of Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter has spoken out in an eight-minute video about the negative attention she’s received on the internet in recent weeks.

Leanna—who got engaged to the University of Colorado Boulder football star in February—revealed that she spoke to Travis beforehand about publicly clearing her name.

As the 23-year-old told the camera in a video posted to TikTok Dec. 16, “I got permission from Travis to say these things.”

Leanna got emotional as she recalled the events on Dec. 14 at the Heisman Trophy ceremony, which led to the internet speculating that she wasn’t happy for her fiancé as he was presented with college football’s highest honor.

More specifically, social media users took an issue with Leanna seemingly having to be told to stand up and celebrate Travis by his coach Deion Sanders, also known as “Coach Prime.”

“When his name was called, I instantly was going to get up,” Leanna said in the TikTok. “If you watch the video, his mom didn’t get up, so I was like, ‘Oh, maybe I don’t get up, I just sit here.'”

“As soon as I seen Travis get up, then I thought it was appropriate to stand up, greet him, congratulate him,” she continued. “But then, there was a camera right in front of Coach Prime and I knew they were going to film that moment and because of how people are online, I was like, ‘I don’t want to be in that shot,’ so I sat down.”

She continued through tears, “I got out of the camera, purposefully, so they can have their moment. That’s all it was. No one told me to stand up, no one had to tell me to celebrate with him. I was just sitting there crying, I wanted to take it in—I was super excited for him. But I wanted the moment to be about him and his family.”

Leanna also addressed other now-viral incidents, including one where she appeared annoyed while Travis, 21, interacted with fans following the ceremony in New York City.

“I wasn’t annoyed with no fans at all,” she said. “I’m never annoyed with fans.”

“The things that I’ve seen people make up is truly crazy,” she said. “Because it’s not what happened, and I just think that people are finding every little thing and try to make it what it’s not. And bird-brained individuals are just accepting what they see online.”

She added, “This is making me so mad, because everyone who knows me knows that I support Travis in every win, everything that he does because I truly, truly love that man. He is perfect in my eyes.”

Leanna also made it clear that she wasn’t going to address “these crazy narratives” anymore.

But she isn’t the only one speaking out in the aftermath of backlash on social media. In fact, prior to the release of her video, Travis defended his fiancée on a Twitch livestream.

"Find something else to talk about," Travis began in his Dec. 15 stream. "Go find a life. Stop worrying about what I've got going on. I know what I got. My girl's been with me for five years. Y'all are just now starting to talk about me and just now starting to be with me."
