Joe Bradley was so charmed by Maddi Reese that he decided to put a ring on it.
In fact, after finally taking their relationship romantic last year, the couple decided to make it officially official. Which means Southern Hospitality fans will get to see the couple get married during an impromptu Las Vegas wedding on the Bravo series' upcoming third season.
"The whole group was having a hard time and I feel like we needed something fun," Maddi exclusively told E! News of eloping, "and I feel like that was fun."
For Joe's part, he called the surprise nuptials "hilarious but also beautiful," but wouldn't spill too many details about the big day.
"I don't want to give too much away about the wedding because there's so much of our love story that happens this season that leads up to that," he coyly chimed in. "But just know that we are together right now in a domestic house. A lot has changed."
And after years of pursuing Maddi, the VIP host was more than ready to officially make the DJ his bride.
"It's been on my mind for a while longer than hers," he joked. "We're also just crazy and very spontaneous people. Even our families were just kind of like, 'Oh these idiots.'"
Maddi echoed Joe's sentiments, "My mom was like, 'I'm not shocked at all if you didn't tell me and I wasn't there when you were getting married,' because we tend to be impulsive people and live in the moment type people."
But that doesn't mean their parents were necessarily thrilled by the wedding news.
"No, they were mad," Maddi added. "They were mad for sure."
And Joe could relate.
"I had a lot of ass-kissing to do on Thanksgiving this year," he noted. "But we are so close with our families and they know that we ride or die for them. They just want us to be happy, thank God."
As for why the Bravo stars finally decided to become more than just friends, it all came down to timing.
"I always kind of knew in my heart that we would be together and I just feel like I had a little bit of growing up to do in a lot of ways," Joe explained. "She puts it like, 'You had some stuff to get out of your system before I thought you were ready.' I wanted to be good enough of a guy for her and, being with her, I feel like I became a better person already."
See Joe and Maddi's love story—and surprise wedding—play out when Southern Hospitality returns tonight, Jan. 2, at 9 p.m. on Bravo. And keep reading to learn more about season three.
