Meghan Markle is cooking up something new.
After ringing in the new year with a grand return to social media, the Duchess of Sussex announced her new Netflix series With Love, Meghan.
The show—which is set to launch Jan. 15—"reimagines the genre of lifestyle programming, blending practical how-to’s and candid conversation with friends, new and old,” according to a press release.
The series gives an intimate look into Meghan’s kitchen, highlighting her tips and tricks for the kitchen, “embracing playfulness over perfection” and highlighting “how easy it can be to create beauty, even in the unexpected.”
And the 43-year-old—who walked away from Instagram when she and Prince Harry took a step back from the royal family in 2020—took a break from rolling up her sleeves in the kitchen to post a special look on her social media.
“I have been so excited to share this with you,” Meghan wrote in the caption of her Jan 2. Instagram post alongside the show’s trailer. “I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it. Wishing you all a fantastic new year! Thanks to our amazing crew and the team @netflix. Beyond grateful for the support - and fun!”
In the trailer for the eight-episode series, Meghan can be seen creating a selection of beautiful dishes, arranging flowers and even trying out a bit of beekeeping. And she, of course, shared the dishes over laughs with an outstanding lineup of guests, including Korean-American chef Roy Choi, The Mindy Project actress Mindy Kaling and chef Alice Waters.
“This is probably one of the most glamorous moments of my life,” Mindy said while whipping up a dish with Meghan in the trailer. And Roy was cherishing the moment as well, adding, “We’re family now.”
After all, one of Meghan’s favorite parts about getting her hands dirty in the kitchen isn’t the final product, but rather sharing the experience with people she loves.
“I’ve always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it,” Meghan explained. “Surprising people with moments that let them know I was really thinking of them.”
