Kerry Washington and Nnamdi Asomugha know to handle a glamorous date night with ease.
Indeed, the Scandal star and the Sylvie's Love actor enjoyed a rare night out together at the 2025 Golden Globes on Jan. 5. For the special occasion, Kerry stunned with her chic ensemble, wearing a vibrant one-shoulder pink Balenciaga gown with black satin gloves. Meanwhile Nnamdi also turned heads with his attire, opting for a black tuxedo, made complete with a white button down.
(For every celeb on the red carpet, head on over here.)
The couple's star-studded night out comes on the heels of Kerry's latest movie The Six Triple Eight—which tells the story of World War II's only Women's Army Corps unit of color—debuting on Netflix. And as the actress explained at the ceremony, it's a story that was meant to be told, with good reason.
"The story is about this particular group of black women at this moment in history, but the film is really resonating for anybody who's ever been underestimated or doubted," Kerry exclusively told Zuri Hall on Live From E!: Golden Globes. "You see these women surpass expectation in a way that is so inspiring."
"So I wanted to be part of making sure that that story was told because I never heard it," Kerry—who shares kids Isabelle, 10, and Caleb, 8, as well as an 18-year-old daughter from Nnamdi's previous relationship—added. "And I love how people are really getting that message and feeling uplifted and inspired and like it cracks your heart open."
But that's not all Kerry is celebrating, as she also gushed over friend and fellow ABC alum Viola Davis, who was honored this year for her achievements at the Golden Globes Gala.
"I adore Viola," Kerry told E!. "I feel so indebted to her for the way that she's consistently breaking barriers and encouraging other women like myself. She's just she's a hero of mine, she's a lighthouse, she's a genius, she's a vision. I'm so happy for her. This moment is so deserved."
