Lisa Ann Walter doesn’t need to teach Jason Kelce any lessons in acting.

After all, the NFL alum is already a natural, according to the Abbott Elementary star, who gushed over his and former Philadelphia Eagles teammates Jalen Hurts and Brandon Graham’s touchdown-worthy appearances during the show’s season three premiere last year.

“I was very impressed that they knew all their lines coming in,” she explained during her Jan 27. appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers. “That nobody had to be kind of on the side and be like, ‘No, no, no, you say this, you say that.’ They were on it. They were off book. A lot of times we go into work not off book.”

As for who the trio played during their appearance on the Philadelphia-set series, well, that would be themselves as they attempted to help Gary, the then-boyfriend of Lisa Ann’s character Melissa, pop the question over zoom. But while the proposal wasn’t a success, the guys’ on the show certainly was.

In fact, the Parent Trap alum singled out the former Eagles’ center player for being able to jump into a different environment with both feet.

“I was impressed by Jason Kelce,” she said. “You know, it’s not their gig. They are very good at their gig. If anybody asked me to do a hot route, I wouldn’t know what I was doing.”

Jason previously reflected on his experience working on Abbott. While his younger brother Travis Kelce expressed the ABC sitcom is one of his “favorites,” Jason shared lots of love for its creator and star—and Eagles superfan—Quinta Brunson.

“I love what [Abbott Elementary] represents,” the 37-year-old said during a February episode of the brothers’ joint podcast New Heights. “And anything that shines a light on public schools and the Philadelphia school system is pretty special. And Quinta does a fantastic job, as does the whole crew over there at Abbott Elementary, so it was an honor that they asked us to be a part of it for sure.”
