Caitlin Clark can’t shake off the fun she had with Taylor Swift.
The Indiana Fever star joined the “Cruel Summer” singer in the suites of Arrowhead Stadium on Jan. 18, as they supported Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs during their AFC divisional playoff game against the Houston Texans.
“I’m a huge Chiefs fan. I’ve been a huge Chiefs fan, and obviously Taylor is a huge Chiefs fan, too,” the 23-year-old said during an interview on 247Sports’ Swarmcast podcast Jan. 28. “So, it was fun.”
And while it’s obvious that Taylor is a big fan of No. 87, the WNBA star couldn’t believe just how bejeweled the singer was in the moment.
“Getting to share that, I was like, ‘Oh my God, I love this,’ Caitlin said. “She loves the Chiefs as much as me. Like, this is incredible.”
Caitlin and the 35-year-old were there to celebrate alongside each other while the Chiefs defeated the Texans as they were seen cheering and hugging each other.
“We had so much fun, and honestly it was the perfect game,” she explained. “The Chiefs won, it was close at halftime, Travis scores a huge touchdown for the Chiefs, we ended up winning. There was nothing crazy that happened, and we felt confident as it got to the end.”
And the best part of the experience according to the athlete: Taylor’s ability to make everyone feel at home in the suites.
“Taylor is very sweet and very kind, and it’s just a good reminder that people in our position, we are very normal,” Caitlin said. “Sometimes our lives aren’t normal, but we are very normal people, and we enjoy doing fun things, too.”
“We enjoy watching sports and hanging out with our friends,” she added. “It puts a great perspective of life and where you’re at in your career.”
Caitlin’s appearance proves that Taylor is a woman of her word. ICYMI, in December, Caitlin revealed that she met Taylor and Travis after an Eras Tour show in Indianapolis in November, where the Grammy winner gifted her with bags of merchandise and a note revealing that Trav would love to see her at a game.
Not to mention, Taylor’s support has gone all the way to the end of the season. The “Lavander Haze” singer was in Arrowhead on Jan. 28 when the Chiefs secured their spot in the Super Bowl, which will lead them face-off against the Philadelphia Eagles on Feb. 9.
