Watch: Jeff Probst Explains New Twists Before "Survivor: Winners at War"

The title of Sole Survivor is once again up for grabs.

The 18 new hopefuls competing on Survivor season 48 have finally been revealed.

The diverse new group of castaways who will attempt to outwit, outplay and outlast each other for the $1 million prize include a fire captain and a fire lieutenant, a substance abuse counselor, a music executive, a stunt performer and a pizzeria manager. Plus, don't count out the debate professor, surgeon or P.E. coach.

As for the new season of game play, fans can surely expect the same "inspired gameplay and momentous tribal councils" from years past, according to CBS's announcement. And, of course, longtime host Jeff Probst back at the helm.

"Nearly 25 years since it first premiered, Survivor continues to be the ultimate test of stamina and will as a fresh group of castaways begins the adventure of a lifetime when they’re stranded on the picturesque islands of Fiji," the network shared in a Jan. 29 press release. "This latest group of players must form a new society and nimbly adapt to their surroundings while contending with unforeseen obstacles and navigating an increasingly complex social game."

The announcement continued, "The participants will be divided into three tribes of six and face a season to remember from the moment they step on the beach. Even the strongest competitors will be tested and forced to dig deep mentally and physically to ensure their torch stays lit."

And you can bet these diehard fans came to play.

"I love this game," hopeful Stephanie Berger told Entertainment Weekly in an interview published Jan. 29. "You can only armchair quarterback for so long when you’re as challenge minded as I can be before you realize you need to shut up and play. Fewer than 700 people have played this game—and fewer than 50 have won. I want to be one of them."

As for Stephanie's strategy heading into the competition?

"When you peel back all the layers, Survivor is about making it to the end sitting next to two people you can beat," the tech product lead noted. "The adaptability and resilience to make it to the end, the smarts to make the right moves along the way, and the storytelling ability to put it all in front of the jury. They shouldn’t let me get anywhere near final tribal."

Keep reading to meet all 18 of the new castaways.

Survivor returns Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 8 pm. on CBS. Episodes will also be available on Paramount+.
