It was a party at the 2025 Grammys for Miley Cyrus and Tish Cyrus.
Despite any ongoing family drama with Billy Ray Cyrus, the mother-daughter duo put on a united front at the Feb. 2 award show, which was also attended by Miley's boyfriend Maxx Morando. (See all the stars on the Grammys red carpet here.)
In fact, it was an extra special night considering Miley—who has yet to publicly react to brother Trace Cyrus' message of concern for their dad—and Beyoncé won the Grammy award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for their "II Most Wanted" collab.
It was just last year that Miley won her first-ever Grammy—for Best Pop Solo Performance For "Flowers"—at the 2024 ceremony, though she nearly missed the moment that Mariah Carey called her name.
"Oh my god, I just got stuck in the rain in traffic," she told the audience at the 2024 Grammys. "I could have missed the award—that's fine—but not Mariah Carey."
Indeed, it was a milestone decades in the making for the Hannah Montana star, who began her career at an early age.
"No shade, but I've been doing this for 20 years, and this is my first time actually being taken seriously at the Grammys?" she told W magazine in an interview published in June. "I've had a hard time figuring out what the measurement is there, because if we want to talk stats and numbers, then where the f--k was I? And if you want to talk, like, impact on culture, then where the f--k was I?"
"This is not about arrogance," she noted. "I am proud of myself."
And it isn't about comparing herself to other artists.
"Competition is really of no interest to me," the 32-year-old shared. "I don't think of other artists as opponents. Artists are not the same as athletes, playing a zero-sum game and keeping a score. There isn't a score in art."
