We are shedding (alligator) tears over Taylor Swift and Beyoncé’s full circle moment at the 2025 Grammys.
During the 67th Grammy Awards, the “Fortnight” singer presented the Grammy award for Best Country Album to none other than Beyoncé for Cowboy Carter.
And as the 43-year-old—who has become the most-awarded artist in the award show’s history—made her way to the stage to accept her trophy, fans couldn’t help but notice that she exchanged a few words with the pop superstar. (Click here for the complete list of winners.)
So, of course, curious minds got straight to work to decipher what Queen Bey may have said to Taylor at the Feb. 2 ceremony, which was hosted by Trevor Noah at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena.
“You look so beautiful,” one social media user speculated in a Feb. 3 video posted to X, trying to read their lips. “I love you.”
And later on in the night, Taylor showed her boundless support for the “Halo” singer’s first-ever Album of the Year win with a celebratory clink of champagne glasses with Jay-Z—who shares Blue Ivy, 13, as well as 7-year-old twins Rumi and Sir with Bey.
“I just feel very full and very honored,” the 43-year-old gushed as she accepted the award alongside her oldest daughter. “It’s been many, many years—I hope we just keep pushing forward, opening doors.”
In fact, winning this award, after being previously nominated in the same category for I Am…Sasha Fierce, Beyoncé, Lemonade and Renaissance made her the first Black woman to do so in the 21st century.
This year, the “Crazy In Love” singer was also joined in the category by Taylor herself, André 3000, Sabrina Carpenter, Jacob Collier, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX and Billie Eilish. But the moment her name was announced, the audience and her fellow nominees were visibly moved by her achievement, with even Billie and Lady Gaga shedding a few proud tears. And Beyoncé could not forget to give a shoutout to her baby girls.
"I was just very honored, very honored,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I'm happy that my daughter got to see that."
"[She's] taller than me, I don't like it at all!" she added of Blue. "I'm so happy that she was here and Rumi, who was on the album, my youngest daughter, she was watching. I forgot to thank her, so I can thank her now. Thank you, Rumi!"
