Watch: 'Summer House’ Star Paige DeSorbo Reveals When She and Craig Conover Really Broke Up

Paige DeSorbo is setting the record straight on her breakup with Craig Conover once and for all.

Just over a month after the Summer House alum announced the end of her relationship with the Southern Charm star, she revealed that, in reality, they had been broken up for quite some time.

“Craig and I broke up Thanksgiving weekend,” Paige said on a Feb. 3 episode of her and Hannah Berner’s Giggly Squad podcast. “That’s at the end of November.”

Following their breakup, cheating rumors swarmed the internet, with some critics accusing the 32-year-old of “blindsiding” her ex before the holidays. (There were even rumors that she had cheated on him with SNL cast member Marcello Hernandez.)

And after Paige realized that “no one’s sticking up for me on the other side,” and that some are just “perpetuating the rumors,” she decided to tell her side of the story.

“In the three years that I dated my ex-boyfriend,” she continued, “I never physically cheated on him, emotionally cheated on him—can you mentally cheat on someone? I don’t know, but I didn’t.”

As for what did happen after the two called it quits? Paige said that Craig went on to do press for his Bravo show, “acting as if we were still together.” And for her, that was not where issues arose.

In fact, she added, “I said that he could do that, he was processing in his own way.”

But once the holidays passed, she noticed that Craig was publicly “presenting himself as single” while on a trip.

“I said, ‘Oh, here we go, we’re ready to announce,’” Paige explained. “I then texted him and said—whilst he was on this trip—and said, ‘I’m going to say something on Giggly Squad, and we can both start moving forward.’”

“It’s been a full month now,” she added. “My text went unanswered.”

With no word back from the 35-year-old, Paige spoke out about their split on her podcast at the end of December. But as soon as she did, the internet seemed to turn on her.

“The narrative just took a turn really quickly,” she recalled. “That I had cheated, that I broke up with him, like, a week ago and moved on with some new guy.”

“Let me say this here and now,” she continued. “I did not move on with some new guy. I’m single. I don’t have a new boyfriend. I did not cheat on my ex-boyfriend. And it was a full month that we were broken up and I didn’t say anything.”

In fact, Paige added that Craig was the one that requested they keep their breakup private. And even after asking him to dispel the cheating rumors, she says he refused to comment on the matter publicly. But since he posted about his newfound singleness himself, she decided, “Well, I can’t deceive the public any longer.”

And after making the timeline of their breakup blatantly clear, the reality star hopes to leave the false narratives in the past.

“I think this is the last we need to speak of it,” she concluded. “We broke almost two months ago. Nothing happened that was nefarious or like cheating. There’s not some big rumor that’s gonna come out. Now, it’s time to f--king giggle.”

Craig Conover Addresses the Split

Over a week after the breakup news went public, Craig shared his side of the story.

"This has all been very, very unexpected, to say the least," Craig said in a video shared to Instagram Jan. 7. "I was very shocked and it's ok, it takes two people to be in a relationship. You can't control other people you can only control how you react to it."

That said, Craig also wants everyone to extend grace to his now-ex.

"I'm still processing everything, which is normal, I mean, three-year relationship, it's your best friend who you talk to all day, every day and then they're just gone," he noted. "So one day I'll be able to talk more on it but right now I just wanted to thank everyone for their kind messages."
