Craig Conover is defending himself against recent claims made by his ex.
After Summer House star Paige DeSorbo made the shocking claim that he was texting other women over the course of their relationship, Craig is sharing his side of the story.
“I never cheated,” the 36-year-old said about the accusation during a Feb. 17 interview with Tamron Hall. “And I think the best thing you can have in a relationship is that security. Not worrying what your partner’s doing. So, no I wasn’t. But you can’t control people.”
“Shep [Rose], my costar on Southern Charm was like, ‘That’s the most frustrating thing about you,’” he continued, “‘is how loyal you are.”
Following the premiere of Summer House’s ninth season on Feb. 1, fans saw a clip of Paige speaking with her co-stars Lindsay Hubbard and Amanda Batula six months after production wrapped and in the aftermath of her and Craig’s breakup, which they announced in December.
Defending herself against the claims she cheated (which she has denied), Paige declared to her friends about the Southern Charm star, “You’re going to let people say that I’m a cheater. I caught you texting two b-----s in our relationship.”
According to Craig, he was shocked to see it play out on screen.
“It was disappointing to see the direction her show went,” he said. “I’m just grateful for the three years of a relationship that we had. It was really great. I’m a hundred times better version of myself now than I was. And I think she is too.”
“I think it was a retaliatory scene,” he explained to Tamron. “She got a lot of backlash from the breakup, which I was disappointed at.”
Still, Craig has no hard feelings towards the Giggly Squad podcast host and is remaining optimistic about his future love life.
“At the end of the day, she fell out of love, and I wasn’t the right person for her,” he shared. “And that is okay. If someone’s not ready for you, you only live once, like go find your person.”

Craig Conover Addresses the Split
Over a week after the breakup news went public, Craig shared his side of the story.
"This has all been very, very unexpected, to say the least," Craig said in a video shared to Instagram Jan. 7. "I was very shocked and it's ok, it takes two people to be in a relationship. You can't control other people you can only control how you react to it."
That said, Craig also wants everyone to extend grace to his now-ex.
"I'm still processing everything, which is normal, I mean, three-year relationship, it's your best friend who you talk to all day, every day and then they're just gone," he noted. "So one day I'll be able to talk more on it but right now I just wanted to thank everyone for their kind messages."
