Watch: Oscars 2025: Kieran Culkin Makes Another Pregnancy Pact With Jazz Charton After Win

Kieran Culkin has a ludicrously capacious request for his wife.

As the A Real Pain star accepted the award for Best Supporting Actor at the 2025 Oscars, he knew it was the best time to reveal his and Jazz Charton’s upcoming family plans. And it all began after his win at the 2023 Emmys.

“About a year ago, I was on a stage like this and I very stupidly, publicly said that I wanted a third kid from her because she said if I won the award, she would give me the kid,” Kieran—who shares kids Kinsey, 5, and Wilder, 3, with the model—began with a statuette in his hand March 2. “Turns out she said that because she didn't think I was going to win.”

“After the show, we're walking through a parking lot,” he recalled of the evening when he won Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series for Succession. “She's holding the Emmy. We're trying to find her car. And she goes, ‘Oh God, I did say that! I guess I have to give you a third kid.” (See all the winners here.)

However, Kieran had his eyes on an even bigger family, admitting that he really wanted four kids.

“She turned to me,” he continued, “and she said, ‘I will give you four when you win an Oscar.’ I held my hand out. She shook it, and I have not brought it up once until just now. You remember that, honey?”

“I just have this to say to you, Jazz, love of my life, yee little faith,” he concluded. “No pressure. I love you. I'm really sorry I did this again and let's get cracking on those kids. What do you say? I love you!

Although he couldn’t help but be excited for the future, he was also sure to thank those around him for his first-ever Oscar win in the Jesse Eisenberg-written film. (He was also up against Anora’s Yura Borisov, A Complete Unknown’s Edward Norton, The Brutalist’s Guy Pearce and The Apprentice’s Jeremy Strong.)

“Jesse Eisenberg, thank you for this movie,” Kieran gushed. “You're a genius. I would never say that to your face. I'm never saying it again. So soak it up. Thank you for this movie.”
