Amazon’s Jeff Bezos Marries Lauren Sánchez in Venice Wedding

On April 14, Lauren launched into space alongside Katy Perry, Gayle King and more in Jeff’s Blue Origin Rocket Launch. The historic mission brought the all women crew 62 miles above earth to the Kármán line—the spot that separates the planet’s atmosphere from space. While the trip was an emotional endeavor, she was also excited to return home to her beau. 

“All the love that was in that capsule, and all the heart and the feelings, and seeing Jeff before I left, I just,” she told Blue Origin at the West Texas launch site. “I had to come back. I mean, we’re getting married! If I didn’t come back that would be a bummer for me.”

But when they’re not attending presidential inaugurations and or soaring into outer space, the duo relish in family time with their big blended family, which includes Jeff’s four kids with ex-Mackenzie Scott, Lauren’s son Evan, 18, and daughter Ella, 17, with ex Patrick Whitesell, as well son Nikko, 24, with ex Tony Gonzalez.

“On a typical Saturday, we hang out, we have dinner with the kids, which is always fun because you never know where the conversation is going to go with this many kids,” Lauren—who started dating Jeff in 2019—told WSJ Magazine in a January 2023 interview. “We are the Brady Bunch!”

And when it comes to her blended family journey, she credits the work she and Tony—who is now married to October “Tobie” Gonzalez—put into their co-parenting efforts, which she admits to being “so proud” of.

“My greatest example is the relationship I have with my eldest son's father, Tony,” Lauren continued. “Tony and his wife my best friends. Tony and Tobie were at Thanksgiving with us [this year]. I'm so proud of it. My son looks at me, and he's like, ‘I'm the luckiest boy in the world because I can have Thanksgiving with both my parents and they don't have to be married.’”

The former journalist also shared how her and Jeff have been supporting one another in their careers, too, bringing them closer. 

“It’s the greatest experience I’ve ever had,” she said. “I’ve always had a career very separate from my partner. We love to be together and we love to work together. He's helping me with the book. He's getting his pilot's license. We fly together. We work out together. We're together all the time."

And that emphasis on their partnership goes both ways.

“Lauren is the most generous, most big-hearted person that you would ever meet,” Jeff told CNN in 2022. “She is an inspiration in that way at every level. She is generous with somebody she just meets, she's generous with every person and she's generous in the large too.”
