Natalie Portman is focusing on family.
After finalizing her divorce from ex Benjamin Millepied last March, the Black Swan actress detailed her dynamic with the former couple's kids Aleph, 13, and Amalia, 8.
“My kids are always a source of excitement,” Natalie told Jenna Ortega in an April 15 Interview profile, “because you just see them develop into the individuals they are.”
And the 43-year-old—who filed for divorce from Benjamin in 2023 after 10 years of marriage—noted that she is currently formulating her social life around her tweens.
“I’ve been spending a lot of time with my friends, their kids and my kids,” Natalie explained. “That’s pretty fun.”
But while Natalie’s kids are her top priority these days, she told Jenna that she didn’t envision stepping back from acting when becoming a mom.
“I was just excited to have kids with a person I was in love with,” she admitted, adding of the duo’s profession, “It’s really important to have people in your life who keep you on the ground.”
Benjamin may have been Natalie’s love back when the duo welcomed their kids, but she recently proved he’s no longer where her heart is. In March, multiple outlets confirmed the No Strings Attached star is in a new relationship with French producer Tanguy Destable, otherwise known by his stage name Tepr.
Meanwhile, Benjamin packed on the PDA with a mystery woman in Paris last October, per photos obtained by E! News.
Still, Natalie has given a bit of insight into her separation from Bejnamin. Last July, she even joked that Rihanna calling her the “hottest b---hes in Hollywood” got her through her lowest point.
“It was exactly what I needed,” Natalie reflected during a subsequent appearance on The Tonight Show. “I think every woman going through a divorce should get to have Rihanna say to her that she’s a bad b---h.”
