Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner were accidental twins at the 2025 Met Gala.
After the Rhode Beauty founder and The Kardashians star separately walked the famed steps at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the annual charity gala May 5, the longtime BFFs ran into each other only to realize that they were sporting very similar outfits.
“I feel like we have similar taste sometimes,” Kendall told Vogue’s red carpet correspondent Emma Chamberlain, to which Hailey quipped, “A lot of people say we’re like golden retriever, black cat. And I think that’s very, very, very true.”
And when the YouTuber asked the pair what they would steal from the other’s closet if given the chance, the 818 Tequila founder immediately decided on Hailey’s leather jacket collection, while playfully poking fun at her bestie’s wardrobe.
“I’ve never seen someone have so many leather jackets in my life,” Kendall said with a laugh, “but they’re all amazing.”
In response, Hailey could only say, “My collection is—I’m unwell.”
At this year’s Met Gala—hosted by co-chairs A$AP Rocky, Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, Pharrell Williams as well as Vogue editor Anna Wintour—both Hailey and Kendall donned blazers in accordance with the theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” and dress code “Tailored For You.”
Hailey—who shares 8-month-old son Jack Blues Bieber with husband Justin Bieber—looked fabulous in only a Saint Laurent mini dress blazer, paired with elegant strappy platform heels and silver jewelry.
For her part, Kendall—styled by Gabriella Karefa-Johnson—strutted in a risqué Torishéju gray skirt suit that featured a cleavage-baring deep V in the blazer and maxi skirt with a train. And to top it all off, she wore a statement diamond choker necklace, diamond earrings and tucked her shoulder-length hair behind her ears.
Even before the pair arrived at the Met for fashion’s biggest night, Hailey started off strong by leaving New York City’s Carlyle hotel with a pre-event martini glass in hand.
“One thing about me,” Hailey wrote on her Instagram Stories alongside a photo of the iconic moment, “is I’m gonna wear a blazer and drink a martini.”
