Machine Gun Kelly knows his daughters already have their own epics.
Just days after the “Emo Girl” singer shared the meaning behind his and Megan Fox’s baby daughter Saga Blade’s name, he further explained the connection between Saga and his 15-year-old daughter Casie.
“I got two old souls with me,” he told E! News on the carpet for the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards. He added of Casie, who was by his side, “This is definitely an old soul right here. And Saga, when I look in her eyes, I’m like, ‘Oh you've been here before.’”
And on his newest addition’s moniker, he suggests referring to the definition of Saga (a long story of heroic achievement reminiscent of Icelandic and Nordic tradition, according to Google) is “a good indication of what her story and her life will be.” (For more with MGK, tune into E! News tonight, June 23 at 11 p.m.)
But while Saga’s story is only beginning, MGK is more than happy in his current chapter of being a dad.
“Oh, it’s my Grammy, it’s my Oscar,” he said of fatherhood. “It’s the best accolade to have.”
And for Casie, on the question of whether she’s going to follow in her dad’s musical footsteps, her plan is to take things one step at a time.
“I'm just living life,” she explained. “And then if anything comes from that, if I do want to so anything in the industry, whatever blooms from that.”
In the meantime, she has some thoughts on who her dad should collab with.
“Honestly Doja Cat,” Casie—who MGK shares with ex Emma Cannon—mused, turning to the musician, “I feel like her new era and your new era could be very good together. Like her new sound is just so good, and I think it would really match up well”
To which MGK added with a smile, “That’s my dog.”
The 35-year-old also shared insight into, as Casie said, his new era of music, which sees his album Lost Americana released later this summer.
“I'm nervous to go and perform, but definitely not nervous about the new album,” he explained. “This album is just like, look, things that come from a pure place can't be denied. So I'm aware of when I've made things that I don't know, I'll call out myself be like, ‘Oh, that felt artificial.’ This is, this is as organic as it gets.”
MGK continued, “It's a bunch of me and my best friends sitting in the living room jamming and talking about what life is at that time. We're just like, we're back to the simple things, you know?”
