Katurah Topps and Sabiyah Broderick’s hearts have spoken.
The Survivor season 45 alums are officially a couple, the pair—who competed against each other in 2023—confirmed on Instagram June 22.
“On Survivor, we both struggled with fire. I couldn’t make it and she went a week without it,” their joint post read. “But what we’re built together? That’s a fire that finally lit itself.”
“From Players to Partners, from Castmates to Co-Dreamers,” the message, written alongside PDA footage of the duo, continued. “Meet Survivors FIRST Black Queer Woman couple.”
The couple also celebrated their relationship in another video of them both lip-synching to the viral sound of Kesha’s “Your Love is My Drug,” giving a little more insight into their love story.
“Showmance you deserved?” the second Instagram post read. “The game’s over, but the chemistry? Still in play. Is it too late for a showmance? Asking for two very in-love women.”
Katurah and Sabiyah formed a bond on the reality competition series despite being in two different tribes. Their friendship continued after Sabiyah’s early exit on day seven and Katurah’s departure on day 25 and ultimately turned romantic.
"We realized that our friendship—being 'besties' who talked every single day—was turning into something more last fall, around August 2024,” Katurah, 36, said in a joint interview with Sabiyah, 29, with Out Magazine published June 22. “And we decided to explore it casually. But, by January of this year, we knew we needed to make it official."
After revealing Sabiyah asked her to be her girlfriend on January 20, Katurah shared why going public with their romance held so much meaning to the couple.
"We just celebrated our 6-month anniversary on June 20,” she added. “Plus, it's Pride Month. After making sure our foundation was solid, we're finally ready to share this love with the world."
