Tori Kelly and André Murillo are expanding their little family.
The “Paper Hearts” singer announced that she and her husband of seven years are expecting their first baby together in a sweet video shared to her YouTube account titled, “Let’s make a…”
In the video, which is set to Tori singing an unreleased song, Tori, 32, and André, 35, are seen holding hands, kissing, hugging and sharing other sweet moments. And at the end, the lyrics Tori is singing reveal her big surprise.
“Passed every test / Boxes checked,” she sings. “I’m ready for what comes next / Let’s make a baby.”
Indeed, the “Dear No One” singer—who is currently touring with Ed Sheeran—can’t contain her joy when it comes to expanding her family.
"This year has already been full of highs,” she gushed to People in an article published July 9, “Getting to perform in stadiums all summer, writing the most personal songs of my career and now getting to start a family with my amazing husband.”
As Tori put it, “We are just so grateful for what’s to come and can’t wait to meet this little gift from God.”
The couple have certainly weathered a storm to reach this perfect moment in their romance. Back in 2023, Tori was hospitalized for life-threatening blood clots after collapsing in public. At the time, the Grammy winner’s condition was critical, and her husband was by her side through what Tori later called a “scary few days.”
“My family was definitely there for me," Tori shared in a post after she recovered. “I had a peace throughout most of it. I feel amazing, they're still monitoring me and everything like that, but I feel great."
Tori and André’s latest milestone comes nearly a decade after they began dating in 2016. The couple later exchanged vows in May 2018, which the American Idol alum called “the most magical day ever.”
“To be loved but not known is comforting but superficial,” Tori effused in a since-deleted post about her big day. “To be known & not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known & truly loved is, well, a lot like being loved by God.”
