The 52nd Daytime Emmy nominations recognize the best of the best.
Which would include E! News, which is up for Outstanding Entertainment News series alongside Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood and Extra.
Previously, E! News has been nominated for the category in 2023, 2020 and several more times since the award’s inception in 2014. And, just a few years after E! News debuted in 1991, the network scooped up a win for Outstanding Special Class Program for Talk Soup in 1995.
Of course, the upcoming ceremony, which will be held October 17 in Pasadena, Calif., also honors other great programs in daytime television—with the addition of new categories including Outstanding Culinary Cultural Series, Outstanding Emerging Talent in a Daytime Drama Series and Outstanding Regional Content in a Daytime Genre.
As for what programs earned the first ever nods in those categories? BBQ High, Chasing Flavor with Carla Hall, Ingrediente: Mexico and TrueSouth earned the first nods for culinary cultural series. Meanwhile, The Bold and Beautiful’s Christian Weissmann and Lisa Yamada, as well as Days of our Lives’ Ashley Puzemis and AnnaLynne McCord and The Bay’s Olivia d’Abo all earned nominations for Outstanding Emerging Talent in a Daytime Drama Series.
Chicagoland’s Best Bites, SARA: A Life in Dreams and Symbols, Danzando para Sanar, Hidden Homicide and Relish round out the freshest nominees, earning nods in Outstanding Regional Content in a Daytime Genre.
“We’re excited to recognize the exceptional individuals and teams who make daytime television great every year and in some cases, every day,” President and CEO of National Academy of Television ARts & Sciences Adam Sharp said in a statement to E! News. “We’re enthusiastic to convene with and celebrate the whole Daytime community in one ceremony."
Until then, keep reading for every nominee at the Daytime Emmys 2025…
