Jenna Dewan is bonding with her growing rookie.
The Step Up alum recently offered a look at her and 12-year-old daughter Everly’s trip to New York, and her eldest is now nearly her height.
In the July 10 photo posted on her Instagram Stories, the 44-year-old posed next to her daughter—whom she shares with ex Channing Tatum, 45—in a clothing store. And fittingly, the duo shopped in style. While Jenna sported a lace-trimmed top and jeans, Everly kept it cool in a black shirt from White Fox Boutique, jean shorts and Nike dunks.
That wasn’t the end of their shopping adventure, as the Rookie actress also shared a photo of her picking out an outfit for Everly, writing, “Somehow became the mom of a teenager overnight.”
This isn’t the first time Jenna has shown off sweet memories with her daughter. In fact, she and fiancé Steve Kazee—parents to kids Callum, 5, and Rhiannon, 10 months—took the tween to Coachella in April, where she got to meet BLACKPINK singer Lisa for the first time.
“Coachella with preteens,” Jenna captioned the Instagram post, which featured a sweet shot of Everly and the K-pop star smiling together. “Oh so worth it to see these little girls’ dreams come true!”
And when she isn’t bonding with her oldest, she’s focused on the next chapter in her love life: her second marriage. Indeed, the dancer—who finalized her divorce from Channing last September nearly six years after their breakup—is planning on walking down the aisle with Steve in the future, and she noted the planning process is busier than expected.
“We’re like two little turtles,” she exclusively told E! News in February. “My mom is like, ‘Can you speed this up, Jen?’ But it’s a lot of schedules and a lot of timings to put together. We’re just scheduling, which is not my forte. So, I have to work really hard on that.”
And as she and Steve continue to fine tune details, Jenna knows she can count on her babies to be by her side.
“I really honestly love being a mother so much,” she continued. “Even the really hard, straining, exhausting days. I absolutely love it. Watching them grow, watching them discover who they are and seeing their own unique personalities and quirks come out, I love being a mirror for them.”
