No, Britney Spears didn’t add a baby to her family, one more time.
Despite the Grammy winner referencing “a beautiful baby girl” named Lennon London Spears in her July 13 Instagram, E! News understands Britney was being cheeky in her post and she has not adopted a daughter.
Indeed, it looks as though the caption was intended as a harmless joke. After all, the “Toxic” singer—mom to Sean Federline, 20, and Jayden Federline, 18, with ex-husband Kevin Federline—did include three winking emojis after her adoption “announcement.” Continuing with her bit, Britney then wrote, “Lennon today has on adorable dress !!! It says I’m NEW HERE !!!” alongside laughing faces.
Another seeming jest? Her announcement that she was planning to move to Italy—a statement also paired with winking emojis.
Otherwise, Britney’s caption also included insight into the accompanying video, which saw the 43-year-old dancing in a pink bathing suit, a black brimmed hat and matching knee-high boots.
“I haven’t worked out in years so I put this little pink one piece on and PLAYED,” she wrote. “This is 30 seconds of my random silly workout !!”
But while Britney hasn’t actually added another child to her brood, she has recently enjoyed spending time with her youngest, Jayden.
The mother and son’s apparent reunion began in December, when Britney shared a video with Jayden, at the time saying it was the first time she’d seen him in almost three years.
“He came back and he feels older and smarter than me,” she continued in her Dec. 31 post. “He’s a man and I cry everyday of my life because of the miracle and genius he is !!! When he plays the whole earth shakes !!!”
She also spoke to the bond they share. “Mine forever,” Britney wrote. “It’s weird we’re like twins but he’s a boy and I’m a girl !!!”
But the holidays weren’t the only occasion in which Britney spent time with Jayden, who lives in Hawaii full time with his dad and stepmom Victoria Price, as well as younger siblings Jordan, 13, and Peyton, 10.
In March, the Crossroads actress shared a look at how Jayden was following in her footsteps, gushing over his rapping and piano skills. “He's a genius and I'm in awe of him,” Britney wrote at the time. “I can't believe he's mine !!!"
And in addition to enjoying music together, the duo have another favorite pastime.
“Went to church today,” Britney captioned a June 16 selfie with Jayden. “Sang and praised !!!"
