Julia Roberts is a pretty woman regardless of her hair color.
The actress, 57, recently debuted a blonde bob in the trailer for her upcoming film, After the Hunt, which is set to be released in October 2025. In the clip, Julia has what looks to be a shoulder-length blonde wig styled in loose waves and a side part—a far cry from her classic long, voluminous, middle-parted brunette waves.
In the Amazon MGM psychological thriller, Julia will star alongside The Bear's Ayo Edebiri and The Amazing Spider-Man's Andrew Garfield. The Pretty Woman actress will play a college professor who grapples with her star student (Ayo) making an accusation against her colleague (Andrew) while also struggling with a dark secret of her own.
Her blonde hair in the film especially comes as a shock as Julia has not been one to change up her look in the past. In 2024, she even addressed how she's managed to generally look the same all these years.
During a conversation with Richard Curtis, who was the screenwriter for her 1999 film Notting Hill, she explained that she credits her unwavering appearance to "good genes" and "leading a life that is fulfilling."
And Julia—who shares 20-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, as well as son Henry, 17, with husband Danny Moder—added that the love in her life doesn't hurt, either.
"I do believe in the love of a good man," she said in the 2024 interview for British Vogue. "I believe that my husband loves me and cares for me in a way that makes me feel deeply, deeply happy. And anytime you see someone who’s happy, it doesn’t matter how old they are."
But as long as she's happy, she noted that she's fine with the wrinkles that come with aging—a lesson she learned from a fellow actress.
"Anouk Aimée said to me, many years ago when I was very young and it didn’t occur to me that I would ever have a wrinkle," she reflected, “'You live your face in your life until you’re 50, and then you live your life on your face.'”
