Hailey Bieber is setting the record straight.
The model's rep shut down speculation that her husband Justin Bieber held off on finalizing his $31.5 million financial dispute with former manager Scooter Braun until after her $1 billion dollar Rhode Skin deal went through so she could foot the bill.
"The historic sale of Rhode is a huge accomplishment for Hailey," Hailey's rep shared in a July 17 statement to Daily Mail, "and is completely separate from her husband and his business affairs."
Prior to the Rhode Skin founder's clarification, reports circulated that Justin—who shares son Jack Blues Bieber, 11 months, with Hailey—didn't have the money to pay Scooter the $31.5 million they reportedly agreed upon to make up for unpaid commissions and an owed advance that resulted from him canceling his 2022 Justice tour.
And while Justin has yet to publicly address his financial agreement with Scooter, he previously showed his support for Hailey after she sold her Rhode Skin brand to e.l.f. Beauty in a $1 billion deal back in May.
Following the deal's announcement, the "Sorry" singer spotlighted the accomplishment on Instagram, sharing a photo of his wife of six years and a screenshot of the May 28 press release alongside a heart emoji.
And that level of support is nothing new for Justin. Earlier this year, Hailey—who will remain Chief Creative Officer and Head of Innovation at Rhode, as well as work as a strategic advisor for e.l.f. following the acquisition—noted that her husband has been rooting for her since she founded her brand in 2022.
Hailey shared in April while accepting the Beauty Innovator of the Year Award during the Daily Front Row’s 9th Annual Fashion Awards, "I want to thank my husband for supporting the dream of mine from the beginning and for always cheering me on.”
Of course, the 28-year-old's business ventures aren't the only aspects of her life in which Justin has been a huge help. Hailey also credited the Grammy winner with providing useful wisdom about navigating intense public scrutiny.
“I’ve learned so much from Justin, really," she told Vogue in a May 20 interview. "He’s been doing this literally since he was a child and he has had to face the most scrutiny of any person that I know."
