More insight into Hulk Hogan's death has come to light.
Nearly a week after the former pro wrestling star(real name Terry Gene Bollea) died at age 71 at his home in Clearwater, Fla, his cause of death has been confirmed as acute myocardial infarction, otherwise known as a heart attack, according to documents obtained by Page Six.
The documents also noted, per the outlet, that Hulk had a history of leukemia CLL, a type of cancer.
E! News has reached out to the Pinellas County Medical Examiner's office for additional comment.
On July 24, authorities were called to Hogan’s residence for an emergency relating to a “cardiac arrest,” according to the 911 phone call recording obtained by E! News.
The WWE Hall of Famer "was pronounced deceased" at Mortan Plant Hospital, according to the Clearwater police's statement to E!.
His managers also spoke out on his death shortly after to mourn the athlete.
“We are heartbroken,” his managers said in a July 24 statement to E! News. “He was such a great human being and friend.”
Hulk’s death came as a shock, as just two days prior, his former manager Jimmy Hartshared insight into how the wrestling champ was doing after spending time with Hulk and his son Nick Hogan, 34, at Hogan’s Hangout restaurant.
“Hulk is going great, doing phenomenal!” Jimmy said in a July 22 post on X. “Last night at karaoke with Nick was absolutely fantastic, baby!!!”
A month prior, rumors began spreading that Hulk—also dad to Brooke Hogan, 37—was "on his deathbed" following neck fusion surgery his reps had confirmed he’d undergone in May.
However, the chatter was quickly shut down, as a rep told E! News June 18 that there were “no reasons to panic.”
At the time, his rep explained that the Hogan Knows Best star has “had problems with his back” for years, adding that he had recently undergone neck surgery and the procedure “has indeed been successful.”
Furthermore, Hulk—who tied the knot with Sky Daily in 2023 and was previously married to Jennifer McDaniel and Linda Hogan—experienced a slew of health issues over the years, many relating to his history in the ring.
“I’ve had like 25 surgeries in the last 10 years," he told Jake Paul on the IMPAULSIVE podcast in September 2024. “I’ve had 10 back surgeries, both knees and both hips replaced, shoulders—everything.”
