Seth Blackstock is honoring the memory of his father.
The 18-year-old son of Brandon Blackstock shared a touching tribute two days after the music manager died at age 48 following a battle with cancer.
"I lost my hero yesterday," Seth—who Brandon shared with his first wife Melissa Ashworth—wrote in his Aug. 9 tribute post, "Words can’t describe how proud of you I am on raising me and your 3 other kids."
Along with posting sweet photos of the two spending time together over the years, Seth continued by saying how important his father was to him and his siblings, which includes sister Savannah Blackstock, 23, and Brandon's children with ex Kelly Clarkson: River Rose Blackstock, 11, and Remington “Remy” Alexander Blackstock, 9.
As Seth put it, "You were a father, a son, a brother, and most importantly my best friend."
Following the loss, the teen expressed his belief that his father is now at peace.
"You’ll have to watch me grow up from a Birds Eye view now buts that’s ok with me," he wrote. "There’s no one else on this earth that I would want to be my dad because no one can be half the man you were to me. I’ll see you everyday when the sun rises and falls."
Seth also looked back fondly on his dad's hunting skills, adding, "I can confidently say all the deer and elk took a sigh of relief when the best hunter I’ve ever known laid his rifle down for the last time."
He ended the message with another nod to their memories shared together, concluding, "I love you so much and can’t wait to throw a line in the water with you again. Love you dad. Be good or good at it -love your son Seth."
Brandon—who was married to Melissa from 2001 to 2012 and to Kelly from 2013 to 2022—died of natural causes, with the Silver Bow County Coroner Dan Hollis determining his cause of death was related to melanoma.
While his skin cancer diagnosis had been kept private, his rep shared shortly after his passing that he had been quietly battling the disease for three years.
"It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away," his rep shared in a statement to NBC News Aug. 7. "Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family."
