Reese Witherspoon Shares Tearful Insight Into Raising 3 Kids in Hollywood 

“It looked like trying to say something positive about work when I got home at night,” she continued. “so, my kids would know that my work was meaningful to me and could be fun!”

For Reese, who’s dating financier Oliver Haarmann, balancing motherhood with her career was the ultimate reward.

“In conclusion, even though it was challenging at times, having kids gave me perspective about what was important in life,” she added. “Nothing was better than getting to come home and hug them and hear about their day.”

And through all the career highlights she’s shared with her kids, Reese admitted they have no interest in her roles outside of being mom.

"My children actively avoid my work," she told E! News in January. "I literally have my son tell me last night that he did not know I made a living being funny. He was like, 'I just didn't realize. You're funny at home—sort of.'"

Indeed, according to her son, she’s aged out of appealing to their demographic.

"He told me kids his age won't want to go see it because we're old," Reese quipped. "That's what he said to me: 'You're old. But they'll love it when they do watch it with their parents.'"
